Christmas in July is up on the Ministry site

The latest edition of my Ministry of Sewing, is now available - the webinar is next week. Christmas in July, you are going to love these projects and I know you will get lots of ideas, tips and tricks from this. We use my metallic threads - red, green and gold for the embroidery and the quilting - all done in the hoop of course!

The pillow is taken from A Place in the Sun designs, Honey's Christmas Stocking, (a stocking that can be personalised for that special person in your life) uses designs from A Place in the Sun, Gilded Memories and Color purple the Next Generation with the Place Mat using designs from 3D Embroidery Magic, Beyond Color Purple and A Place in the Sun.

It is amazing the difference fabric and thread choices make to a design. All the quilting uses metallic thread, as do the decorative stitches. The applique designs also use metallic thread. If you have not tried my metallic threads, you are missing out on so much, these threads glide through the needle (no shredding) and are perfect for embroidery and quilting in the hoop, my designs just love these threads!

Sorry it has been so long since my last blog, however we have been very busy in our studio with Simon returning home filled with amazing ideas. He has two new Special Editions nearly ready to go - except I have to write the directions and Robbie and I have just finished the quilt for the Online Quilting Academy of Accredited Tutors, due to start in September this year - we have taken over 700 step pictures and the quilt is amazing. You will be licenced to exclusively teach this quilt with classes for a year! Wait till you see it - we are calling it Quilt-a-lot, taken from Camelot as we think the quilt reminds us of this era!.

Sunset at the Sheriton Hotel, (first time for a strawberry Mojito - yum) the open windows have great people watching opportunities!
Robbie at the end of a hard day's shopping!
Robbie and I have been up to Noosa Heads (great to catch up with my special friend Sue Armour and Margaret and her family), see my Facebook pictures of Robbie, and here are a couple of pictures of what we did, along with swimming and hiking we shopped till we dropped and enjoyed cocktails at sunset. Amazing what a little Retail Therapy, sun, swimming, feeding the fish (Robbie got her finger bitten despite my warnings) along with amazing food (Bistro C and the Spirit House) and drink can do for one's spirit!

Off now out for dinner at Rubio's a Tapis restaurante in King's Street, Newtown, if you haven't been there you are missing out on another treat.
